AN‑2 ("corncob") — a Soviet single-engined biplane developed under the leadership of Oleg Antonov. The first flight took place in 1947.

Purpose: transportation of goods and passengers, agricultural work, training and amphibious tasks, fire fighting, etc.
Engine: piston ASH‑62IR, power — up to 1000 hp
. Capacity: up to 12 passengers or up to 1300-1600 kg of cargo.
Flight characteristics: cruising speed — about 180-185 km / h, maximum — up to 250 km / h; minimum flight speed — only 40 km / h; range — about 900 km; ceiling — up to 4,500 m.
Features: excellent take‑off and landing characteristics (take—off and run - about 150-235 m), can land on unprepared platforms, including snow (with skis) or water (with floats).
Production: it was produced in the USSR, Poland and China; in total, more than 18,000 copies were built.
